Privacy Policy

Hector's Lab doesn't want your data. Seriously. We only collect what we absolutely need to make the site work and to sell you a theme if you choose to buy one. Here's the honest breakdown, written by a human, not a lawyer. (Though a lawyer checked it.)

What we collect

When you purchase a theme via Stripe, they handle the payment. We never see your credit card number. We receive:

• The email address you provide during checkout
• The name you enter
• A record of your purchase (which theme, date, amount)

If you contact us via a form on this site, we'll have whatever information you include in that message — your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use that only to reply to you.

If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address so we can send you updates. That's it.

What we don't collect

• No analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no heatmaps.
• No cookies that track you across the web.
• No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with third parties.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other surveillance-based tools. This site is built on plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no bloated frameworks, no hidden trackers.

How we use your information

• To fulfil your purchase and deliver your theme download.
• To respond to your messages and support requests.
• To send you the newsletter — only if you explicitly signed up.

That's the complete list. We don't do anything else with it.

Who can see your data

Only Hector. No support team, no outsourced help desk. When you contact us, a real person (Hector) reads it and replies.

Our payment processing is handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy practices. We recommend reading Stripe's privacy policy if you have concerns.

How long we keep it

Purchase records are kept indefinitely for accounting and legal reasons. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your query, then deleted. Newsletter subscribers remain until you unsubscribe — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you at any time. Email info@hectorslab.com and we'll handle it within 48 hours. You can also request a copy of whatever data we have. Spoiler: it won't be much.

Third-party services

We use Netlify to host this website. Netlify may process visitor IP addresses as part of serving the site — that's standard internet infrastructure. Netlify's privacy policy covers their handling of that data.

We use Stripe for payments. Stripe processes and stores payment details; we never touch them.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we'll update this page. No silent updates, no retroactive changes. You'll see the "Last updated" date at the top.
